Tudor League Gala, Round 7 Report May 2006 |
A full but revamped team made their presence well known at the Eltham Pools for the 7th round of the Tudor League and what a good performance they put in. The team were well in the lead after the first 7 events winning 4 of those events Natasha Sinah winning the first event by a touch while Robbie Fraser and Fred Eastwell were placed first and second respectively in their event’s on the place judges decision - Rosa Evans easily winning her breast stroke but Eleanor Wells had to work hard for her 1st place. Fred Eastwell was our most successful swimmer of the competition winning his other two individual events in the 12/U fly and freestyle while Max Evans swam well in the 10yrs Fly after a weak start - this made up our 7 individual winners of the day. The 12 year old boys relay of Harry Child, Robbie Fraser, Fred Eastwell and Troy Morris Eastman and the Open Girls Medley relay of Nicola Oelman, Hannah Carter, Alex Eastwell and Katie Oelman were the other winners of the day. In the 10 and under events Ruby Moulton along with Natasha, Charlotte Eastwell and Fabienne Hosein had great swims in their individual and relay events while the Boys 10 and under relay included Callum Paton Copley and Jerome Jones but saw some special swims coming from Thomas Lamplough and Fred Evans in their relay events. We had 3 time penalties - Chris Oelman showed fantastic underwater Transitions into both his back and fly events but was .4s under the cut off time on his Back while Hannah Carter was just .24s inside but Dominic Norton was only .04s under the time in the 1 length freestyle. Other special mentions must go to Jack Rodgers 21.0, George Evans 21.1, Nina Coldham, Rosalind Carter, Camille Brokenshire, Samir Nadoori while Callum Fraser and Amit Patel were strong members of the open and breast stroke relays. In total we had 9 first places 8 second places and 6 third places we also had a total of 29 Gold Award times, 8 Silver times and 14 Bronze Award Times. There were 2 DQ and 3 Time Faults.
